While this challenge is designed for Earth Day, it is ALWAYS a good time to reduce waste from lunch! Focused on an official Earth Day theme of reducing plastic waste world wide, this challenge brings agriculture and food, and plastic waste together. How are the foods we eat and beverages we drink packaged, and how can we reduce our lunch waste? Can you and your students, or school commit to a day, or week of litterless lunches? This challenge offers opportunities for students to engage with where our food comes from and the important role that farmers in Manitoba play in providing us and the world with healthy food to eat.
